Dr. Cheng completed his Doctor of Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA. He completed his internship at Rutgers University New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ, and his residency in the Department of Urology at Hackensack Meridian Health Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, NJ. Prior to his medical studies, Dr. Cheng earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
